Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment to the existing contract for engineering services for the total amount of $82,060. The new contract as amended will total $337,091.53. Funding for the flood reduction analysis in the amount of $22,660.00 is provided in the 2020 Adopted Stormwater Utility Operating Budget to support Flood Studies (12145-84-200-84000). No additional appropriation is required.
Funding for the FEMA BRIC grant assistance for the Old Sauk Trails Pond and Greenway in the amount of $59,400.00 is provided for in the 2020 Adopted Stormwater Utility Capital Budget under project number 12568.

PREAMBLE
The City of Madison Engineering Division is proposing to conduct watershed and flood studies for the west and near west sides as a result of extreme rain events over the past several years. The City entered into an agreement with Brown and Caldwell for engineering services (RES-19-00205). The City Engineer requested additional engineering services and recommend that they be undertaken by Brown and Caldwell for the Stricker’s/Mendota Watershed Study as defined below:
1. Flood reduction analysis assistance for the adjacent watershed - Madison Pheasant Branch
2. FEMA BRIC grant assistance for public improvement project for the Old Sauk Trails Pond and Greenway
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and Amendment 4 to the contract between the City of Madison and Brown and Caldwell for additional design services for Stricker’s/Mendota Watershed Study.
