Fiscal Note
This is an agreement that provides for the reimbursement by Meriter Hospital, Inc. to Metro Transit for all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to Meriter Hospital employees and volunteers during December 1, 2008 through November 30, 2009, with an option to renew for one year. Trips will be billed at rates consistent with the current Transit and Parking Commission approved fare tariff. The current per ride rate is $0.952 per fixed route trip. Estimated revenues from this agreement are $4,000 for 2009.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Meriter Hospital, Inc. for the provision of free access by its employees and volunteers to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility for employee and volunteer trips for the period December 1, 2008 through November 30, 2009 with an option to renew for one additional year.

This is an agreement with Meriter Hospital, Inc. for reimbursement by Meriter for all fixed route and ADA paratransit trip provided by Metro Transit to Meriter Hospital employees and volunteers during the term of the agreement. This pass program is similar to agreements Metro already has with the University of Wisconsin, Edgewood College, St. Mary's Hospital and Madison Area Technical College. Trips will be billed at rates consistent with the current Transit and Parking Commission approved fare tariff.
WHEREAS, Meriter Hospital, Inc. and the City of Madison wish to enter into a mutually beneficial pass program agreement;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Meriter Hospital, Inc. for the purpose of providing Meriter Hospital, Inc. with rides on Metro Transit fixed route and ADA Paratransit service from December 1, 2008 through November 30, 2009 with an option to renew for one year.
