Title
Establishing a Glass-Free Zone for the West Mifflin Street area 10:00 a.m. on May 5, 2007 through 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2007.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council adopted Section 23.36 of the Madison General Ordinances to establish a
Glass-Free Zone in a specified geographic area during a specified period of time; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a Glass-Free Zone will be in effect from 10:00 a.m. on May 5, 2007
through 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2007; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Glass-Free Zone will include 400, 500 and 600 Blocks of West Mifflin Street, the 10 and 100 Blocks of North Bassett Street and the 10 and 100 Blocks of North Bedford Street.
WHEREAS, no person shall possess any glass container on city-owned property within the Glass-Free
Zone; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby creates a Glass-Free Zone to be
operative from 10:00 a.m. on May 5, 2007 through 6:00 a.m. on May 6, 2007, in the following geographic
area: the 400, 500 and 600 Blocks of West Mifflin Street, the 10 and 100 Blocks of North Bassett Street and the
10 and 100 Blocks of North Bedford Street.
