Request from City Engineering to Install a Sanitary Main in Edna Taylor Park

City of Madison Engineering has proposed a street reconstruction with utilities project at Joylynne Drive, Glenview Drive and Woodlawn Drive (Project #11650, Contract #8123). The estimated start date for the project is July 7, 2018. They would like to redirect flow of existing sanitary main to better match the existing topography, increase pipe size to better serve the extended watershed, eliminate an existing main located between two residential properties, and to remove existing pipes that are below minimum slope standards.
City Engineering proposes installing 215 linear feet of pipe from the park entrance at Woodlawn Drive to the existing sanitary sewer access structure within Edna Taylor Park. The proposed alignment is within an existing sanitary easement within the park property. They would remove the structure at Glenview Drive and abandon the existing sanitary pipe with plugs at the completion of the sanitary sewer relocation project.
