Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $2.18 million for the Reconstruction Streets program for the replacement of deteriorated streets with poor pavement ratings (MUNIS 10226). The minor project for the Woodrow Street Reconstruction is established with sufficient authority for the proposed contract (MUNIS 10906).  Funding is provided by GO Borrowing.

 

The proposed resolution awards the contract at a total estimated cost of $945,000 split amongst the various agencies as follows:

 

Engineering Major Streets - $361,630

Stormwater Utility - $16,740

Sewer Utility - $355,040

Water Utility - $211,590

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
