Fiscal Note
The lift station serves parcels in both the City of Madison and the City of Fitchburg. The cost of this project will be split between these entities based on the percentage of the lift station service area within each jurisdiction (Madison 66.6%, Fitchburg 33.4%). Madison and Fitchburg are already entered into an agreement, authorized under File #74023, RES-22-00729. The City of Madison will initially fund the project with the City of Fitchburg providing reimbursement upon substantial completion. Funding for this project was authorized in the 2026 Sewer Utility Capital Budget in the Lift Station Rehabilitation program.

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. That the plans and specifications for Badger Lane Lift Station Replacement, be and are hereby approved.
2. That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
