The proposed resolution authorizes a second amendment that extends the contract term for the Wingra Proper Watershed Study until February 9, 2026. The original Purchase of Services contract between the City of Madison and Brown and Caldwell was approved via RES-22-00335 (Legistar #70938) on May 10, 2022 in an amount of $195,558. The first amendment was approved via RES-24-00671 (Legistar #85813) on November 26, 2024 for an additional $2,754. Funding for the watershed study and all amendments is available in the 2025 Adopted Stormwater Utility Operating Budget. No additional appropriation is required.

Wingra Proper - Amendment #2
The City of Madison Engineering Division is conducting watershed and flood studies as a result of extreme rain events over the past several years. The City entered into an agreement with Brown and Caldwell for engineering services related to flooding evaluation in the Wingra Proper Watershed (RES-22-00335). This proposed amendment extends the contract period to February 9, 2026.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute Amendment 2 to the contract between the City of Madison and Brown and Caldwell extending the contract term for the Wingra Proper Watershed until February 9, 2026.
