Fiscal Note
This resolution will authorize a three year contract with two one-year options that provide for the reimbursement by Madison College for access by Madison College students to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit service. Antricipated revenue of $400,000 is included in the 2020 Metro Transit operating budget. Estimated amounts will be included in the operating budget each year of the contract. Fixed route rides will be billed at $1.35 for the first year of the contract (August 15, 2019 - August 14, 2020) and at the rate in the Fare Tariff at the time the ride is taken in subsequent years of the contract with a minimum and maximum of +/- 8% of the previous year's actual ridership. ADA paratransit rides will be billed at the rate in the Fare Tariff at the time the ride is taken.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Madison Area Technical College (Madison College) for provision of access by Madison College students to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement for student trips during the contract period.
Body
WHEREAS, Madison College and Metro Transit have had a successful and productive contracting agreement for an unlimited ride pass program for Madison College students for years, and both parties wish to extend their agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties have negotiated specifications which meet all Transportation Commission criteria set in advance for ride pass programs;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Madison Area Technical College for the prupose of providing a student unlimited ride pass program for the three year term of the agreement with two one-year automatic renewal options with reimbursement by Madison College to the Transit Utility for student trips during Academic Years 2019 - 2020, 2020 - 2021, 2021 - 2022 (and 2022 - 2023 and 2023 - 2024 with the option years).
