Poet & essayist Dana Maya is from the Mexican diaspora. Her work has appeared in Feminist Formations, Volta, the anthologies Listen to Your Mother and Basta: 100+ Latinas against Gender Violence, zines, city buses, memorial sites, museums, & other public spaces. She collaborates with artists transnationally on projects for social change and writes with a Madison collective of poets called the Spontaneous Writing Booth. Recent works have responded to youth incarceration, strangers, diagnosis, gun violence, immigrations, and longing/belonging.
