Authorizing City Traffic Engineer to accept professional services from AAA and to collaborate in the development of traffic safety improvement proposals.
Body
WHEREAS, The AAA Road Improvement Demonstration Program has been demonstrated to improve public safety by applying low-cost engineering enhancements at intersections with high crash rates; and
WHEREAS, AAA Wisconsin will contribute the road safety studies and the City of Madison Traffic Engineering Division will participate in the identification of up to four specific locations to be analyzed; and
WHEREAS, once the road safety studies have been completed, AAA Wisconsin and the City of Madison will discuss the potential for implementation of any recommended improvements;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the City Traffic Engineer be and is hereby authorized to accept professional services from AAA and to collaborate in the development of traffic safety improvement proposals.
