Fiscal Note
The City of Madison’s 2010 Adopted Operating Budget provides funding for purchase of services contracts to be administered by the Community Services (OCS) and CDBG offices within the Community Development Division (CDD). For programming administered by OCS, the 2010 budget provides total funding for community resources contracts of $3,701,550, which provides funding for the second year of funding for the OCS two-year contracts, plus $100,000 for which the allocation has yet to be determined and will be approved via separate resolution(s). Total funding for CDBG-administered programs in the 2010 adopted budget is $12,690,548, which includes funding for the second year of two-year contract commitments, plus new funding for projects yet to be determined (including, specifically, $25K for Homelessness) and will be approved via separate resolutions. The two-year contracts were recommended for funding during 2008 by the Community Services and CDBG Committees, as part of their joint 2009-2010 funding process, with the second year of contract funding (2010) contingent on there being no budget cuts in these areas from their 2009 levels.
