Commending Madison City Channel on winning a national award at the NATOA 23rd Annual Government Programming Awards.
Body
WHEREAS, Madison City Channel has consistently provided quality programming for the city of Madison, which helps inform the public of the actions of their elected officials; and
 
WHEREAS, Madison City Channel has won many awards over the years; and
 
WHEREAS, this year, Madison City Channel has gained recognition on a national level by taking first place at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) 23rd Annual Government Programming Awards in the category "Video Text Bulletin Boards" for its "Community Bulletin Board"; and
 
WHEREAS, this is the eighth year out of the last nine that Madison City Channel has finished "in the money" in this category, including more first place honors in 2003, 2004 and 2006;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council do hereby commend Madison City Channel on winning a national award at the NATOA 23rd Annual Government Programming Awards ceremony and recognize the many contributions made by the staff of Madison City Channel in connecting residents with their local government.
