DRAFTER’S ANALYSIS: This ordinance rezones properties located at 330-342 E. Lakeside Street from SE (Suburban Employment) District to PR (Parks and Recreation) District to support conversion of an existing office building into a public service facility/community center (future Parks Division office).

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Map Amendment 00495 of Section 28.022 of the Madison General Ordinances is hereby created to read as follows:
"28.022-00495. The following described property is hereby rezoned to the PR (Parks and Recretation) District.
Part of Government Lot #4 (being fractional West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4) of Section 25, Town 7 North, Range 9 East, in the City of Madison, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the recorded plat of Edgewater; thence East along the north right of way of E Lakeside Street a distance of 350 feet, more or less, to the Southwest line of the recorded plat of Pleasure Park; thence North 30°00’ West a distance of 143.8 feet; thence North 25°00’ East a distance of 176.3 feet, more or less, to the ordinary high water mark of Lake Monona; thence Northwesterly along said ordinary high water mark of Lake Monona a distance of 442 feet, more or less, to the intersection of said ordinary high water mark and the Northeast corner of said Edgewater plat; thence South 28° 20' West along the Southeast line of said Edgewater plat a distance of 187 feet; thence South along the East line of said Edgewater plat a distance of 492.8 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said described area contains 3.56 acres, more or less.”
