DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS:  This ordinance amendment rezones property located at 802-818 West Badger Road and 825 Hughes Place from SR-V1 (Suburban Residential- Varied 1) and CC-T (Commercial Corridor-Transitional) District to RMX (Regional Mixed-Use) District for future multi-building mixed-use development.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:

 

                     1.                     Map Amendment 00700 of Section 28.022 of the Madison General Ordinances is hereby created to read as follows:

 

“28.022-00700. The following described property is hereby rezoned to RMX (Regional Mixed-Use) District.

 

A parcel of land, being Lot 2 of Certified Survey Map 16197 and unplatted lands, all being located in the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 35, T7N, R9E, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows:

 

Commencing at the West Quarter Corner of said Section 35; thence along the South line of the NW 1/4 of said Section 35, also being the centerline of W. Badger Road, S89º05’59”E, 2106.59 feet to a point being the southerly extension of the East line of Certified Survey Map 13016; thence N00º05’29”W, 33 feet, more or less, along said extension to a point on the Northerly right-of-way line of W. Badger Road, also being the southeasternmost corner of Lot 1 of CSM 13016 and the Point of Beginning; thence continuing N00º05’29”W along the East line of Lot 1 of CSM 13016 and the Easternmost line of CSM 16197, 240.84 feet, more or less; thence N89º05’59”W, 64.31 feet; thence N00º13’09”W, 181.68 feet to a point on the Southerly right-of-way of Hughes Place; thence S89º04’57”E along said Southerly right-of-way line, 312.69 feet; thence S00º13’53”E, 169.81 feet; thence S89º04’43”E, 250.10 feet, more or less, to a point on the Westerly right-of-way of S. Park Street; thence S00º22’01”W along said Westerly right-of-way, 41.67 Feet; thence continuing along said right-of-way S12º14’25”W, 107.90 Feet; thence continuing along said right-of-way S00º12’02”W, 95.29 feet to a point on the Northerly right-of-way of W. Badger Road; thence S87º51’45”W along said Northerly right-of-way line, 204 feet, more or less; thence continuing N89º05’59”W along said right-of-way line, 268.43 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning. Said parcel contains 175,086 square feet or 4.02 acres.”
