The proposed resolution authorizes an amendment to the contract #202110083 related to Metro Transit’s Technology System Upgrade Project. The service contract is between The City of Madison and Arcadis Engineering Services (USA) Inc. formerly IBI Group Engineering Services (USA) Inc. The current contract total cost is not to exceed $577,000.00 over three years, with a term ending on February 28, 2025. Due to the changes in the project that necessitate increases in the required service hours, the proposed resolution amends the contract #202110083 to add $150,000.00, bringing the total cost to $727,000.00 and to extend the contract term through December 31, 2025. The additional cost will be funded by available budget within the Transit Technology System Upgrade Project, Metro Transit Capital Budget.

WHEREAS, The City selected IBI Group Engineering Services (USA) Inc through a competitive procurement process RFP #10083-0-2021-AH to provide project management services for the technology system upgrade project.
WHEREAS, The common council authorized through resolution #68977 a 3-year service contract with IBI Group Engineering Services (USA) Inc to serve as the Project Manager for Metro Transit’s Technology Upgrade.
WHEREAS, IBI Group Engineering Services (USA) Inc changed their legal entity name to Arcadis Engineering Services (USA) Inc. effective May 3, 2023. The notice of legal name change is attached to this resolution.
WHEREAS, the current service contract between the City of Madison and Arcadis Engineering Services (USA) Inc. is capped at total cost not to exceed of $577,000.00 with a term ending on February 28, 2025.
WHEREAS, Metro Transit needs additional project management services due to the project updates that extended the schedule and increased the required service hours.
WHEREAS, under MGO 4.26(3)(3), service contracts of more than one year that average more.
than $100,000 per year in cost require Common Council approval and signature by the Mayor
and City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contract amendment between the city of Madison and Arcadis Engineering Services (USA) Inc.to add $150,000.00 to not to exceed cost, bringing the total to $727,000.00 and to extend the contract term through December 31, 2025.
