Allowing the City of Madison to open the connections of Calico Way / Rankin Road and Carncross Drive / Sledding Parkway between the Siggel-Grove Subdivision in the City of Madison and the April Hills Subdivision in the Town of Blooming Grove, the Secret Places Subdivision in the City of Madison and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with the Town of Blooming Grove for the work and Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Carncross Drive / Sledding Parkway Roadway Connection - 2008. The April Hills subdivision in the Town of Blooming Grove lies between the Siggel-Grove and Secret Places Subdivisions in the City of Madison. The April Hills subdivision currently only has one access point off of Siggelkow Road. The three subdivisions all currently lie within the McFarland School District. To improve access by residents and emergency services within these subdivisions, the Town of Blooming Grove is proposing to open alternate connections of roadway between the subdivisions along Rankin Road and Carncross Drive / Sledding Parkway. The Town of Blooming Grove Town Board approved the connections on April 22, 2008.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED:
1. That the connections of Calico Way / Rankin Road and Carncross Drive / Sledding Parkway between the Siggel-Grove, April Hills, and Secret Places Subdivisions are hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Town of Blooming Grove for the Project.
3. That the plans and specifications for the Carncross Drive / Sledding Parkway Roadway Connection - 2008, be and are hereby approved.
4. That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.
5. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
