I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen appointments.  "Statement of Interests" forms are on file in the City Clerk's Office for those citizens required to file.

 

DISABLED PARKING ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE COUNCIL

 

The Parking Council for People with Disabilities met and recommends that the following names be submitted to the Mayor and Common Council for appointment.  Applicants have completed the application and training process through the Police Department.

 

CYNTHIA M. ROSKOWIC, 1802 Manley St., 53704 (12th A.D.) - Ms. Roskowic is a parking enforcement officer.

 

MICHAEL L. BUNTING, 755 Braxton Pl. #A610. 53715 (13th A.D.)  - Mr. Bunting is a disabled citizen.

 

                     Currently serving on:  Parking Council for People with Disabilities

 

GARFIELD A. CUNNINGHAM, 2037 Rae La., 53711-4132 (20th A.D.) - Mr. Cunningham is a parking enforcement officer.

 

GARY A. WEBER, 14 Maple Wood La. #16, 53704 (12th A.D.) - Mr. Weber is a care giver. 

 

ENVIRONMENT, COMMISSION ON THE

*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.

 

Pursuant to Sec. 3.27(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, " … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … ."

 

*WILLIAM SONZOGNI, 3731 Pioneer Rd., Verona, WI 53593 - appointed to the position of Representative of the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County.

TERM EXPIRES WITH TERM ON BOARD OF HEALTH: 4-15-2008.

 

                     Currently serving on:  Board of Health for Madison and Dane County

 

Rationale:  Mr. Sonzogni is the Joint Board's recommendation to the Commission on the Environment. He is the Director of the Environmental Health Section at the Wisconsin State Library of Hygiene and a member of the newly appointed Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, which replaced the Madison Public Health Commission.
