COMMITTEE ON THE ENVIRONMENT

 

Board of Public Works recommendation:

KENNETH G. JOHNSON (11th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Board of Public Works Representative succeeding Sara Z. Walling.

TERM EXPIRES WITH TERM ON BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS: 4-30-2020

 

                     Currently serving on:                     Board of Public Works

 

 

DOWNTOWN COORDINATING COMMITTEE

 

KATHY L. MARKS (4th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Permanent Downtown Area Resident. Ms. Marks is a downtown resident and downtown business owner. She is a member of Downtown Madison, Inc. (DMI) and chairs their Quality of Life Committee. She also volunteers at the Madison Farmers Market. Ms. Marks succeeds Davy Mayer who assumed a Resident Member position.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE

 

CLAIRE E. LIND (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Specialist in Child Care Field. Ms. Lind is a full-time instructor in the Early Childhood Education department at Madison College. She is a member of numerous organizations, including the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Waisman Early Childhood Program 4K Planning Committee. Ms. Lind succeeds Linda E. Benzschawel.

LAKES AND WATERSHED COMMISSION

 

TODD AMBS (13th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Mayor or Designee. Mr. Ambs is the director of regional conservation coalition, Healing Our Waters. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, teaching water policy. Mr. Ambs has served on numerous water-related boards and commissions, including currently serving on the Board of the Southeast Wisconsin Watershed Trust. He succeeds Rebecca Power.

OVERTURE COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD

 

GINGER A. CONTRERAS (13th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of City Appointee. First appointed 10-3-2017.

TERM EXPIRES: 9-1-2021

 

                     Currently serving on:                      Madison Arts Commission

 

BERNARDO (BERNIE) HOES (15th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of City Appointee. First appointed 1-17-2017.

SUSTAINABLE MADISON COMMITTEE

 

JONATHAN D. HEPNER (11th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a two-year term to the position of Common Council or Resident Member. Mr. Hepner is a development project manager with T. Wall Enterprises, LLC. He volunteers his time with Gilda’s Club Madison and Take a Vet Fishing. Mr. Hepner succeeds Stacie A. Reece.

TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION

 

PATRICIA A. BUTLER (18th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a one-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Butler retired from Madison Gas & Electric.  She has been very active in the community as a volunteer with the homeless and the Brentwood, Crestwood and Ridge Crest neighborhoods. She is a current member of the Willy St. Coop Board of Directors and the Northside Planning Council.

TERM EXPIRES: 6-30-2019

 

BRIGIT E. BROWN (4th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Brown was the Wisconsin State Trails Coordinator for the Bureau of Parks and Recreation. She is now the Recreation Management Section Chief for the State Department of Natural Resources. Ms. Brown is a regular walker and biker and has volunteered at Ride the Drive and other local events. She is a mentor at La Follette High School.

TERM EXPIRES: 6-30-2021
