Fiscal Note

License revenues are estimated to be $500 and are included in the 2023 adopted operating budget as a general purpose revenue within the General Fund.

Approving the Application for 2023-2025 Commercial Quadricycle Licensure of Capitol Pedicycle DBA Trolley Pub

Body

WHEREAS, the Trolley Pub has applied to renew its Commercial Quadricycle Licensure, effective July 1, 2023:

 

WHEREAS, Trolley Pub, requesting 3 Commercial Quadricycle vehicle permits

 

WHEREAS, Trolley Pub has provided appropriate proof of insurance for their commercial quadricycles; and

 

WHEREAS, Trolley Pub, have relocated their vehicle storage and staging location from 316 Buckingham’s Bar and Grill (802 Regent St.) to 555 W Washington (Isthmus Hardware Store) the prior sight was redeveloped;

 

WHEREAS, Traffic Engineering staff has not received any negative reports or comments regard Trolley Pub;

 

WHEREAS, MPD has not reported any complaints and has had some positive interactions as Trolley Pub employees have worked with MPD re-route to adapt to special event road closures and;

 

WHEREAS, the Common Council recommends that the following actions be taken with respect to the above application for license:

 

Approval of the application for license to operate a Commercial Quadricycle company license and for 3 Commercial Quadricycle vehicle permits.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following license is issued, subject to the provisions and conditions as stated above and the ordinances of the City of Madison:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be instructed to issue the licenses authorized by this

resolution upon the filing of personal liability and property damage indemnity as required by the Madison

General Ordinances, upon filing of a schedule of fares applying to each license so granted as required by

said ordinance, and upon registering with the City Clerk the identity of the owner of such licensed commercial quadricycle, and upon meeting the conditions as set forth above.
