Amending Sections 15.02(5), (8), (16), (17), (111), (115), (118), (133), (136), and (139) of the Madison General Ordinances to modify the polling location for purposes of the November 6, 2007 election.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, this ordinance consolidates the polling location for the Madison wards that will be included in that election's Sun Prairie School District Referendum.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subsection (5) entitled "Ward 5" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling place at Door Creek Church, 6602 Dominion Drive. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
2. Subsection (8) entitled "Ward 8" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling place at American Family Insurance, 302 North Walbridge Avenue. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
3. Subsection (16) entitled "Ward 16" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling place at No. 8 Fire Station, 3945 Lien Road. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
4. Subsection (17) entitled "Ward 17" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling place at No. 8 Fire Station, 3945 Lien Road. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
5. Subsection (111) entitled "Ward 111" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling location at Kennedy Elementary School, 221 Meadowlark Drive. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
6. Subsection (115) entitled "Ward 115" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling location at Kennedy Elementary School, 221 Meadowlark Drive. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
7. Subsection (118) entitled "Ward 118" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling place at No. 8 Fire Station, 3945 Lien Road. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
8. Subsection (133) entitled "Ward 133" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling place at National Guard Armory, 1402 Wright Street. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
9. Subsection (136) entitled "Ward 136" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling place at New Beginnings Alliance Church, 602 Acewood Boulevard. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
10. Subsection (139) entitled "Ward 139" of Section 15.02 entitled "Wards and Ward Boundaries" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by adding therein the following:
"Polling location at Kennedy Elementary School, 221 Meadowlark Drive. For purposes of the November 6, 2007 election, the polling location will be Oakwood Village East, 5565 Tancho Drive."
EDITOR'S NOTE: Eleven City Wards will be included in the November 6 Sun Prairie School District Referendum. For purposes of this election, the polling locations for these Wards have been consolidated to the location for Ward 18, which, as shown below, includes the greatest number of registered voters within the Sun Prairie School District:

Wards 16, 17, 118: 0 registered voters within the Sun Prairie School District
Ward 18: 1,734 registered voters within the Sun Prairie School District

Ward 133: 0 registered voters within the Sun Prairie School District
