Report of the Mayor submitting citizen committee appointments for introduction 3-29-05.
Body
I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen committee appointments. "Statements of Interests" forms are on file with the City Clerk's Office for those appointees required to file.
AD HOC TASK FORCE ON ALLIED STRATEGIES
*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.
Pursuant to Sec. 3.27(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, " … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … ."
Mayor's Designee:
DARRELL L. BAZZELL, 201 S. Yellowstone Dr. #321, 53705 (19th A.D.) - Mr. Bazzell is vice chancellor for administration at UW-Madison.

MMSD Designee:
DANIEL R. WOOD, 7330 Westbourne St., 53719 (7th A.D.) - Mr. Wood is a school social worker for the Madison Metropolitan School District and a JFF Team Member.
Allied Community Resident:
*ALICE P. HOWARD, 2106 Red Arrow Trail #9, 53711 - Ms. Howard is president of the Allied -Dunn's Marsh Neighborhood Association.
Alternate to the Allied Resident Members:
RANDOLPH H. COPELAND, 1737 Sheridan St., 53704 (12th A.D.) - Mr. Copeland is a member of the Allied Neighborhood Association and the Lakewood Gardens Condo Association.
LANDMARKS COMMISSION
MICHAEL J. ROSENBLUM, 1134 Merrill Springs Rd., 53705 (19th A.D.) - reappointed to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Rosenblum's appointment had been revoked for not filing an SOI form. The form is on file in the Clerk's Office.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2006.
SWIMMING POOL AD HOC COMMITTEE
JEAN MACCUBBIN, 3530 Heather Crest, 53705 (11th A.D.) - reappoint as a citizen member. Ald. MacCubbin currently serves in the "Common Council or Citizen Member" position. First Appointed 2-3-2004.
TRANSIT AND PARKING COMMISSION
SHARON L. MCCABE, 1143 Emerald St., 53715-1637 (13th A.D.) - appointed to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. Ms. McCabe is a lecturer at the UW-Madison. She is active in many neighborhood organizations. She replaces Gary Dilweg who resigned.
TERM EXPIRES: 4-30-2007.
