COMMITTEE ON COMMUNITY GARDENS

 

Community Development Block Grant Committee recommendation:

GREG L. ROSENBERG (6th A. D.) - reappoint to the position of Community Development Block Grant Committee Representative. First appointed 1-20-2015.

COMMITTEE ON SWEATFREE PURCHASES

 

LYDIA ZEPEDA (5th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of City of Madison Resident. Ms. Zepeda is a professor in the Department of Consumer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has previously served as vice-chair and chair of the University’s committee on labor licensing. Ms. Zepeda succeeds Tina M. Frailey.

TERM EXPIRES: 3-31-2018

 

ALAN GINSBERG (6th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of City of Madison Resident. Mr. Ginsberg is a retired schoolteacher, having worked for the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) for 36 years. He is currently a preceptor for the Department of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his tenure with the MMSD, Mr. Ginsberg served on several committees, including serving as the MTI representative to the South Central Federation of Labor and the Wisconsin Education Association Council. He succeeds Carol Bracewell.

MADISON ARTS COMMISSION

 

JENIE GAO (2nd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. Ms. Gao is a professional artist who has been featured in several publications and has had numerous exhibitions throughout Wisconsin. She is the former owner and curator of the Jenie Gao Studio & Gallery in Milwaukee. Ms. Gao succeeds Sofia A. Snow.

MADISON LOCAL FOOD COMMITTEE

 

MAYRA MEDRANO (7th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Member. Ms. Medrano is the Business Community Service Manager for Madison Gas & Electric. In addition, Ms. Medrano currently serves as the President of the Latino Chamber of Commerce. She succeeds Peter A. Robertson.

 

 

SUSTAINABLE MADISON COMMITTEE

 

Board of Public Works recommendation:

JACLYN D. LAWTON (11th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Board of Public Works Member. Ms. Lawton succeeds Hans Hinke.

CHAITANNYA (Chet) AGNI (2nd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of State Street Area or Capitol Concourse Resident. Mr. Agni is currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying Political Science and Biology. He has been active in many organizations including the Indian Students Association and the Student Labor Action Coalition. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the College Democrats of UW-Madison. Mr. Agni succeeds John N. Magnino.

MADISON METROPOLITAN SEWERAGE DISTRICT BOARD

(FOR INFORMATION ONLY - MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS)

 

The following individuals were appointed to the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District Board.

Brad Murphy was the Director of the City of Madison Planning Division from 1989 through 2012. Brad led a 27-person staff and helped develop the city’s comprehensive and Downtown plans, neighborhood plans, the zoning code, and numerous intergovernmental agreements. He has a Bachelor's degree in Geography and a Master's degree in Urban Planning.

 

Ezra Meyer has served as a Water Resource Specialist with Clean Wisconsin since 2008. Prior to Clean Wisconsin, he served as an education specialist at Wisconsin Association of Lakes. He has served on the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District for five years. He earned his undergraduate degree in economics and environmental studies at UW Madison as well as his Master's degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Water Resources Management.

 

James Martin served as an Assistant City Attorney for 25 years and as the City Attorney. He also served for six years as a Dane County Circuit Court Judge. He has been a member of a number of professional boards and is a member of the Safe Harbor of Dane County Board. He earned his Law degree from UW-Madison.

 

Angela James is a Madison attorney at Michael Best and Friedrich specializing in environmental compliance, air and water permitting, utility ratemaking, and energy regulation. She is a board member of the Wisconsin Environmental Education Foundation. Previously, she worked as a municipal attorney at Stafford Rosenbaum, and as in-house counsel at Madison Gas and Electric. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the UW-Madison in Zoology as well as a Masters of Science in Water Resource Management and a Law degree.

 

Sara Eskrich, District 13 Alder, is a Madison native who previously worked as the Policy Director for the President of the Boston City Council, Wisconsin Council on Children and Families and Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from UW Madison in Political Science and Gender and Women’s Studies. She has additionally earned her Master of Public Health and Public Affairs. She is currently employed by Deloitte and serves as a Health Policy Analyst.
