I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

 

*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.

Pursuant to Sec. 3.30(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, "...provision shall not apply to a member of or candidate for appointment to a City of Madison board, committee or commission where, in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of a non-resident member who is particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience with Madison business concerns or other Madison-based employers and the Mayor specifies fully to the Common Council the reasons why he or she is recommending such appointment."

 

 

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION COMMISSION

 

COLLIN D. ERICKSON (6th A.D.) – appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Linda Ketcham. Collin Erickson is a customer service manager with FourKites, Inc. He has volunteered with the Tenant Resource Center and Porchlight and served as president of the East Side Alano Club.

NICHOLAS E. FAULKNER (6th A.D.) – appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Shawn Zhu. Nicholas Faulkner is a research analyst at UW-Madison – Center for Health Disparities Research. During his time as a student at the University of Michigan, he served on the Center for Depression Advisory Board and the LEAD scholarship program executive board.

ALCOHOL LICENSE REVIEW COMMITTEE

 

TIANNA C. KLEMONS (3rd A.D.) – appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Sheri Carter. Tianna Klemons is the grant compliance & administration manager for the American Red Cross. She serves on the Kennedy Elementary PTO board.

ROOM TAX COMMISSION

 

C.J. RAYMOND (13th A.D.) - reappoint to a one-year term to the position of Hotel/Motel Industry Representative. First appointed 1-14-2025.

TERM EXPIRES: 7-5-2026

 

*SALLY MILEY, Middleton - reappoint to a one-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 7-5-2016.

TERM EXPIRES: 7-5-2026

 

Rationale: Sally Miley has been a member of this body since its inception in 2016 and previously served as chair. A former alder and deputy mayor, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her finance education and city government experience, as well as her leadership skills, make her a valuable member of this commission.

 

GLENN KRIEG (19th A.D.) - reappoint to a one-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 7-5-2016.

SYLVIA MOSS (16th A.D.) - reappoint to a one-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. First appointed 7-5-2016.

SHANE A. BERNAU (11th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Graduate Landscape Architect. First appointed 3-5-2019.

RAFEEQ ASAD (2nd A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Design Professional. First appointed 7-19-2016.

NICHOLAS L. HELLROOD (10th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Resident Member. First appointed 5-20-2025.
