I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen committee appointments. "Statement of Interests" forms are on file with the City Clerk's Office for those appointees required to file.

 

JURY FOR SELECTION OF ARTISTS FOR PUBLIC ART WORK AT THE NEW WATER UTILITY BUILDING  (For Information Only)   

Per Resolution ID 36584, adopted 9-21-2004.

 

MICHAEL K. BRIDGEMAN, 106 S. Franklin St., 53703-3414 (6th A.D.) - will represent Madison CitiARTS.

 

PAMELA HATHAWAY, 917 N. Wingra Dr., 53715 - will serve as the neighborhood representative.

 

RICH LUNDEEN, Bray & Associates, Inc., 1468 N. High Point Rd., Middleton - represents the architectural firm who designed the new Water Utility Building.

 

DAVID DENIG-CHAKROFF, Water Utility General Manager.

 

AL LARSON, Water Utility Engineer.

 

PEST MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

MICHELLE MILLER, 1101 Colby St., 53715 (13th A.D.) - appointed to the position of Pesticide Regulation and Integrated Pest Management Member.  Ms. Miller is the Project Manager for the Pesticide Use and Risk Reduction Project at the UW-Madison Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems.  She served on the Ad Hoc Pesticide Use Policy Committee.

 

SECTION 8 ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

JULIET M. BRODIE, 1707 Madison St., 53711 (13th A.D.) - reappointed to a three-year term to the position of At-Large Member.  First Appointed 11-18-2003.

LISA B. SUBECK, 818 S. Gammon Rd. #4, 53719-1376 (1st A.D.) - reappointed to a three-year term to the position of Tenant and/or Tenant Human Services Provider.  First Appointed 6-1-2004.

STREETCAR STUDY COMMITTEE

 

*2/3 vote required for confirmation of non-city residents.

Pursuant to Sec. 3.27(2) of the Madison General Ordinances, " … provisions of this section shall not necessarily apply with reference to membership on special study committees where in the judgement of the mayor and two-thirds (2/3) of the Common Council, the best interests of the city will be served by the appointment of certain nonresident members who are particularly well qualified by reasons of education, background, and experience … ."

*DIANE K. BUCHANAN, 4321 Maple Lane Rd., Janesville, WI 53546 - Ms. Buchanan is general manager of Monona Catering at Monona Terrace.

Rationale:  Ms. Buchanan, recommended by Deb Archer, is very involved in transportation issues as they relate to the Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau.

 

Note:  The co-chairs of Transport 2020, in consultation with the mayor, will name four Transport 2020 members.  Said recommendations will be submitted by the mayor to the Council for confirmation.  Alder Ken Golden is a co-chair of Transport 2020.

 

Two additional appointments will be made.  The appointments will represent neighborhoods.
