I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.

 

 

BOARD OF REVIEW

 

BRYANT B. RAY (7th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a five-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Ron Rosner. Bryant Ray is an attorney and serves as an assistant vice president trust officer at the Bank of Sun Prairie. He currently serves on the board of Access to Independence and volunteers regularly with the Small Claims Assistance Program at the Dane County Courthouse.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-21-2026

 

MICHAEL C. KINDSCHI (3rd A.D.) - appoint to a five-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Michael Kindschi currently holds the Second Alternate position and has served since 2-25-2020.

TERM EXPIRES: 4-17-2029

 

 

COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMITTEE

 

PRECIOUS R. GOSTON (3rd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Community Representative (Minority Rep) succeeding LaShana Miller. Precious Goston is the owner of Pdice Entertainment - an event coordination and mascot business in Madison. In addition, she is a certified peer support specialist.

DISABILITY RIGHTS COMMISSION

 

KATHLEEN M. CALLEN (15th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Susan G. Balliette. Kathleen Callen is a program coordinator at the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired. She is the board president of Womankind Worldwide, Inc. and a board member of the PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization).

EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE

 

LAYLA M. MOOSAVI (7th A.D.) appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Child Care Worker succeeding Karli M. Shapiro. Layla Moosavi is the director of operations at the Wisconsin Youth Company. She has a bachelor’s in Community Youth Development and a Masters in Recreation, Sports and Tourism.

MADISON PUBLIC LIBRARY

 

PLUMER B. LOVELACE III (20th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident succeeding Cindy L. Fesemyer. Plumer Lovelace is a research program manager at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He previously served as the executive director of the Wisconsin Library Association from 2013-2021.

SISTER CITY COLLABORATION COMMITTEE

 

Per MGO 33.33(3) - “Because resident participation of the Sister City Collaboration Committee goes beyond the boundaries of the City, up to twenty-five percent (25%) of appointees to the committee may be non-residents of Madison without the need for a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Council for confirmation.”

 

JON F. HEINRICH, Fitchburg - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Sister City Representative, representing the Madison Camagüey Sister City Association. First appointed 4-16-2013.

TERM EXPIRES: 2-1-2027

 

SALVADOR CARRANZA (9th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Sister City Representative, representing the Madison Tepatitlán Sister City Committee. First appointed 9-4-2012.

TERM EXPIRES: 2-1-2027
