SUBSTITUTE - Amending Section 28.11(3)(l)5.d. of the Madison General Ordinances to modify the minimum number of parking spaces required for certain uses.
Body
DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This substitute ordinances changes the minimum number of parking spaces for business and professional offices in buildings with no residential uses. It provides that the minimum number shall be one space for each four hundred (400) square feet of floor area. ***********************************************************************************
The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subparagraph d. entitled "Banks And Financial Institutions; Medical, Dental And Optical Clinics; Offices, Business And Professional; Offices Of Health, Medical And Welfare Institutions; Radio And Television Studios And Stations; Retail Stores And Retail Service Uses" of Paragraph 5. entitled "Commercial and Manufacturing Uses" of Subdivision (l) entitled "Schedule Of Required Off-Street Parking Facilities" of Subsection (3) of Section 28.11 entitled "Off Street Parking and Loading Facilities" of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by to read as follows:
"d. Banks and financial institutions; medical, dental and optical clinics; offices, business and professional; offices of health, medical and welfare institutions; radio and television studios and stations; retail stores and retail service uses. One parking space shall be provided for each three hundred (300) square feet of gross floor area."
2. Subparagraph h. entitled "Business And Professional Offices." of Paragraph 5. entitled "Commercial and Manufacturing Uses" of Subdivision (l) entitled "Schedule Of Required Off-Street Parking Facilities" of Subsection (3) of Section 28.11 entitled "Off Street Parking and Loading Facilities" of the Madison General Ordinances is created to read as follows:
"h. Business and professional offices. One parking space shall be provided for each four hundred (400) square feet of gross floor area."
