Under the terms of this agreement, the soccer organization would provide all of the equipment, labor, and materials necessary to assume the maintenance, mowing, and upkeep of four soccer fields at Reindahl Community Park.  In exchange, the organization would be allowed priority scheduling benefits.  No appropriation is required.

Body
WHEREAS, in 2000 the Parks Division formally acknowledged its consideration of establishing public/private partnerships in the community as a viable option of service delivery in the community and has been found to be a concept accepted by the citizens in Madison; and
WHEREAS, Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., has successfully organized soccer leagues in the City of Madison and has provided maintenance support to park fields for several years;
WHEREAS, Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., has changed its name and will now operate its soccer program under the name Madison F.C., Inc.
WHEREAS, the Parks Division has successfully entered into similar Agreements with several other soccer organizations;
WHEREAS, this Agreement will extend priority field scheduling to Madison F.C., Inc., in exchange for Madison F.C., Inc., maintaining four City-owned soccer fields; and
WHEREAS, youth and adult soccer teams not affiliated with Madison F.C., Inc., will have the opportunity to schedule fields maintained by Madison F.C., Inc., on at least one (1) day per week.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute a Use and Maintenance Agreement with Madison F.C., Inc., whereby, in exchange for Madison F.C., Inc., receiving priority scheduling for the soccer fields at the above mentioned parks, Princeton Soccer Club, Inc., will provide maintenance and improvement to the identified fields for the five-year term of this Agreement.
