Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution amends the Dane County Narcotics Task Force 2020 Operating Budget and authorizes the Madison Chief of Police, acting on behalf of the Task Force, to accept $10,000 for two years of overtime funding from the Wisconsin Department of Justice. The overtime will be used to allocate additional Task Force resources for conducting methamphetamine investigations. The Madison Police Department (MPD) participates in and acts as the fiscal agent for the Task Force. As such, MPD officers will be eligible for the overtime funded by the grant. There is no local match requirement for the grant and there is no impact on the levy.
