Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution approves plan documents and authorizes receipt of bids for the Metro Transit ground lift support repairs in 2019 at a total estimated cost of $95,000. Funding for the repairs are available within the Metro Transit adopted capital budget via unspent carryforward appropriation in the Facilities Repairs and Improvements capital program funded by GO Borrowing.

Title
Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Metro Transit - Repair Support of In Ground Lifts at 1101 E. Washington Ave. (6th AD)
Body
WHEREAS the 2018 Capital Improvement Plan includes $1,540,000 for Metro Facilities Repairs and Improvement and the 2019 Executive Capital Budget - Capital Improvement Plan request includes $7,032,586 for construction of the Service Lane Addition project; and,
WHEREAS the existing lifts are 38 years old and failed recently and were in the capital improvement plan for a later year; and,
WHEREAS accommodation for the repair of these lifts can be made within the budget for the Service Lane Addition project; and
WHEREAS this resolution approves the plans and specifications for the project (plans and specifications are in development), and allows the project to be advertised and receive bids.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
1) That the plans and specifications for the Metro Transit - Repair Support of In Ground Lifts, be and are hereby approved. Plans and Specifications are in development.
2) That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.
3) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
