Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Temporary Limited Easement to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for Reconstruction of U S Highway 151.
Body
WHEREAS,  the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reconstructing portions of  U.S. Highway 151 as Project 1112-07-22 in Dane County; and
 
WHEREAS, the project will affect property owned by the City of Madison situated along Highway 151, identified as Outlot 3, CSM 8037 in the City of Sun Prairie; and
 
WHEREAS,  Outlot 3 is part of the agreed upon 'greenspace' between the two cities and is an integral part of the City of Madison storm water management system; and
 
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has requested a 50' x 100' temporary limited easement along the south easterly property line of Outlot 3 for  sloping, bike path and drainage purposes; and
 
WHEREAS, the Engineering Division approves the temporary limited easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Temporary limited Easement to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation more specifically described as follows:
 
A tract of land being part of the NW ¼ and the NE ¼ of the SW1/4 of Section 14, all in T8N, R10E, City of Sun Prairie, Dane County, Wisconsin more specifically described as follows:
 
Commencing at a chiseled cross in a rock at the Center of Section 14;
Thence S 0º37'49"W, 1035.00 feet along the east line of the Southwest ¼ to the existing northwesterly right-of-way line of USH 151;
Thence N 39º10'15" E, 215.51 feet along said northwesterly line;
Thence N 50º49'45" W, 50.00 feet along said northwesterly line;
Thence N 39º10'15"E, 687.34 feet along said northwesterly right-of-way line to the point of beginning;
Thence N 50º49'45" W, 50.00 feet;
Thence N 39º10'15"E, 100.00 feet;
Thence S 50º49'45"E, 50.00 feet to the aforesaid northwesterly right-of-way line;
Thence S 39º10'15" W, 100.00 feet to the point of beginning;
 
Said parcel contains 0.115 acres.
