I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following resident committee appointments.
OVERTURE COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD
JAIR C. ALVAREZ (5th A.D.)- appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of City Appointee. Mr. Alvarez is the founder and litigation attorney for Alvarez Law. He currently serves on the board of the Latino Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Alvarez succeeds Scott C. Lamps.

TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
ASHWAT NARAYANAN (6th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Transportation Policy & Planning Board Member - Resident. Mr. Narayanan is the Transportation Policy Director for 1000 Friends of Wisconsin. He serves on several transportation-related committees, including chairing the Dane County Climate Council’s transportation work group.

ANN E. KOVICH (14th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Kovich is the owner/principal of Kovich Consulting, LLC. She has served on several city committees, including the Economic Development Committee, Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center Board and most recently, the Transit and Parking Commission.

JESSICA S. PIATT (4th A.D.) - appoint to a two-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Piatt is the Commercial Relationship Manager for Old National Bank. She is a member of DMI’s Transportation and Parking Committee.

WILLIAM F. BREMER (10th A.D.) - appoint to a two-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Bremer is a part-time transportation civil engineer in the Traffic Operations and Safety Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a retired safety and traffic operations engineer with the Federal Highway Administration. He has served on the Board of Public Works, the Solid Waste Advisory Committee and the Sustainable Design and Energy Committee. Mr. Bremer served as the president of the Orchard Ridge Neighborhood Association from 2014-2018.

KENNETH M. STREIT (11th A.D.) - appoint to a one-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Streit is a retired attorney/clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison law school. Over the years, he has served on several transportation-related city committees, specifically Parking Council for People with Disabilities, ADA Transit Subcommittee to the Transit & Parking Commission and the Transit and Parking Commission.

CARL DUROCHER (6th A.D.) - appoint to a two-year term to the position of First Alternate. Mr. DuRocher has many years of community service and has served on numerous city committees. He recently served on the ADA Transit Subcommittee to the Transit and Parking Commission and is the City’s representative on the County’s Specialized Transportation Commission.
TERM EXPIRES: 6-30-2020
GARY POULSON (10th A.D.) - appoint to a one-year term to the position of Second Alternate. Mr. Poulson is a former Common Council member and the recent chair of the Transit and Parking Commission. As a former alder, he has served on numerous city committees.

TRANSPORTATION POLICY & PLANNING BOARD
JAMES F. OETH (4th A.D.) - appoint to the position of Plan Commission Member. Mr. Oeth is a retired engineer and project manager for location and environmental studies. He served as the town engineer for the Town of Madison.

JESSE KAYSEN (10th A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Ms. Kaysen is a civic activist focused on disability rights and access. As a life-long transit user, she was jointly appointed by the City and County to serve on the Transport 2020 Implementation Task Force. She has served on several city committees and is a former chair of both the Transit and Parking Commission and the ADA Transit Subcommittee to the Transit and Parking Commission.

THOMAS L. WILSON (13th A.D.) - appoint to a two-year term to the position of Adult City Resident. Mr. Wilson works for Nexant in energy efficiency consulting. He served six years with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He is active with the Monona Bay Neighborhood Association and Brittingham Community Garden and he is a lifetime pedestrian/biking/sustainable infrastructure advocate.
