Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes awarding the contract for the South Point Public Works Facility (formerly known as Far West Facility). The award amount of the Base Bid is $37,208,662.07 plus alternate Bid Item #1-Salt Barn $1,956,000.84 for a total amount of $39,164,662.91. The resolution also amends the 2026 Adopted Streets Division and Parks Division Capital budgets. The budget amendment authorizes a net-neutral transfer of $250,000 GO Borrowing budget authority from the Emerald Ash Borer Mitigation program (Munis #17148) and $250,000 GO Borrowing budget authority from the Beach and Shoreline Improvements program (Munis #10605) in the Parks Division Capital Budget into the South Point Public Works Facility project in the Streets Division Capital Budget (Munis #13016 for the total amount of $500,000). The Parks Division anticipates using the South Point Public Works Facility for West Parks Operations. The Parks Division identified available funding within their Capital Budget from their Beach and Shorelines program due to completed projects and reprioritization within the Parks Division’s Master Plan. The Parks Division will still have remaining impact fee budget available for other projects in Beach and Shoreline Improvements. Upon transferring the budget, funding for the award of the contract will be available in the South Point Public Works Facility project (Munis #13016). No additional appropriation is required.
