Madison General Ordinance Section 33.16 (7) - Advise and make recommendations to the Community Services Committee and to the Office of Community Services on policy and guidelines for the Madison Child Care Program; duties include, but shall not be limited to: evaluating programs and assessing community needs; establishing eligibility criteria for approved child care centers, tuition aid, grants and loans; and implementing the Child Care Program. The committee shall conduct hearings and make determinations in appeals from actions of of the Community Services Supervisor pursuant to Sec. 3.18(3)(c)3 of the Madison General Ordinances. (Title of body changed from board to commtitee per MGO Sec. 33.16(7), adopted 3-17-2009, effective 8-1-2009.) Per ORD-13-00161, File ID 30809 (effective 10-10-2013) - committee size decreased from an 11-person body to 9-person body, eliminating two Citizen Member positions. Also, two position titles changed: Day Care Service Consumer changed to Child Care Service Conumer and Day Care Worker changed to Child Care Worker.
