In the adopted 2017 capital budget Engineering-Bicycle & Pedestrian has budgeted for the construction of the Capital City Trail Path Segment 1 on the City's east side from Buckeye Road to Dondee Road (MUNIS 10154). The total estimated project cost of Segment 1 is $330,000 of which $197,000 of GO Borrowing funding is established in the adopted 2017 capital budget. The proposed resolution amends the adopted 2017 capital budget and awards the grant of $133,000 from the County to fully fund the cost of the project.

WHEREAS, City Engineering has applied for and received a Dane County PARC & Ride Bike Trail grant for up to $133,000 through a fifty percent match; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Clerk have executed a County / Municipal Agreement for Local Let PARC & Ride Bike Trail Grant Program for Capital City Path Segment 1 under RES-16-00208

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the plans and specifications for Capital City Path Segment 1, be and are hereby approved;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
