DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance updates incorrect and obsolete references and text as well as increases various fees in various chapters of the Madison General Ordinances.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subdivision (a) of Subsection (3) entitled “Schedule of Deposits” of Section 1.08 entitled “Issuance of Citations for Violations of Certain Ordinances and Providing a Schedule of Cash Deposits” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended by creating and amending therein the following:

2. Subdivision (c) of Subsection (1) of Section 7.35 entitled “Septic Tanks, Dry Wells, Tile Fields, Scavengers” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
“(c) Applicants for such permit shall furnish a detailed plan of the proposed installation specifying the location of the building served, size and design of septic tank, and location of absorption system in relation to any lot line, shoreline or existing water well. Sufficient percolation tests shall also be furnished by the applicant and, if required by the Director of Public Health for a specific property, sufficient soil borings shall be furnished.
