Title
Amending Sec. 34.01(13) and various chapters of the Madison General Ordinances to update references to the newly created Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: Effective January 1, 2012, the Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing were dissolved and the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services was created. This ordinance updates all Department of Commerce references to Department of Safety and Professional Services. In addition this ordinance updates obsolete references to the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations and the Department of Health and Family Services to the Department of Safety and Professional Services.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subsection (13) entitled “Adoption by Reference: State and National Codes” of Section 34.01 entitled “General Provisions” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
