Dear ALRC Members,
As an update for the Logans
applications, I met with the Agent, Adam Mais on Friday 2/11/11 in the
afternoon at Logans.
Mr. Mais explained his plans for
the restaurant. He showed me where they are in the process of adding a
stage for bands and DJ’s to perform. He also verbally described the plans
for types and frequency of entertainment.
I explained to Mr. Mais my
reservations regarding 18+ entertainment licenses in general and the potential
problems he and his staff would have enforcing the rules with this
license.
In the end, Mr. Mais stated he was
going to change his request and ask for a 21+ entertainment license and not the
18+.
If this change is made, I have not
objections to the request for a 21+ entertainment license for Logans.
If the change is not made, I
respectfully request that the committee refer the 18+ license application to a
future meeting so that Mr. Mais and I can meet to work on a more detailed plan
for this type of license and this establishment.
Thank you.

Subject: RE: ALRC: Logans Madtown 18+ Entertainment
Dear ALRC Members,
I have yet to be contacted from
this establishment reference this request and there is no contact information
listed on the application for the agents. In reviewing the application, I
find it lacking in content in regards to their new business plan in relation to
the addition of a 18+ entertainment license. There is no content on type
or frequency of entertainment and the relationship it will play in their
current business model.
I have concerns in regards to this
establishment, as they have not finished, nor conveyed to the ALRC or Central
District any change of plans from their original proposal on the addition of
food for late night hours.
As I have conveyed to you at
previous meetings regarding the 18+ license, I have grave concerns on the
application of such a license at an establishment that by definition is a
restaurant and in particular with a capacity of 495.
I would like to have the
opportunity to meet on sight with the applicants and then attend a future ALRC
meeting to personally discuss this application. Unfortunately, I will be
out of state on 2/16/2011. I respectfully request that this application
be referred to a future meeting.
