We live just around the corner on Van Buren Street and the amount and type of traffic this will bring into the neighborhood (and directly in front of my house) will not be good for my family or the neighborhood. Being the parents of a 4 and 6 year old, the noise and and illegal parking (there is no parking directly in front of my house from 8am-6pm) is not something we look forward to. We also do not look forward to football game days and the amount of trash, empty cans and bottles that will no doubt be tossed aside from already drunk fans after having such easy access to carry out liquor (since having an open container is a $300 fine). There is enough liquor in our neighborhood... we do not need another store. It certainly does not fit into the feel of the neighborhood. Places that sell beer, wine and/or liquor: Trader Joes -- 1 block away Barriques -- 1 block away Mike's Wine Shop -- .6 miles away Open Pantry on Regent Street -- .6 miles away ZuZu Cafe -- .7 miles away Regent Street Liquor -- .9 miles away Miller's Liquor -- 1.1 miles away BP Station on Park Street -- 1.1 miles away Mallatts -- 1.2 miles away Party Port -- 2.1 miles away Not to mention all the bars and restaurants in the neighborhood which also sell liquor. Thanks very much, Nathan Montemayor 808 Van Buren Street 608-294-6823
