Subject:	Proposed liquor store at 1935 Monroe Street

  To whom it may concern;

My family is opposed to the opening of a liquor store in the Burkhalter travel 
building at 1935 Monroe Street.  We live just around the corner on Van Buren 
Street and the amount and type of traffic this will bring into the 
neighborhood (and directly in front of my house) will not be good for my 
family or the neighborhood.  Being the parents of a 4 and 6 year old, the 
noise and and illegal parking (there is no parking directly in front of my 
house from 8am-6pm) is not something we look forward to.  We also do not look 
forward to football game days and the amount of trash, empty cans and bottles 
that will no doubt be tossed aside from already drunk fans after having such 
easy access to carry out liquor (since having an open container is a $300 
fine).

There is enough liquor in our neighborhood... we do not need another store.  
It certainly does not fit into the feel of the neighborhood.
