To whom it may concern:

As a long time resident of this Monroe St. neighborhood I am writing to oppose 
the application to open a liquor store at 1935 Monroe St.  I am opposed for 
several reasons: (1)  there are numerous alternative venues to purchase 
alcohol in the neighborhood (2) the proposed location is directly across the 
street from a women's shelter which seems inappropriate (3) the neighborhood 
is already seeing an increase of alcohol related noise complaints, 
particularly from students at nearby Edgewood college.
