PUBLIC HEARING OF TDS METROCOM TO INSTALL FIBER OPTIC CABLE 
WITHIN RIGHT OF WAY LIMITS AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
Midvale Blvd. south from Mineral Point Road to Keating Terrace, west on Keating

maintain or restore stormwater and other facilities throughout the City as needed in 
public greenways, detention basins, street right of ways and other City owned

Estimated cost of this project is $80,000 (includes a $25,000 DNR Urban Forestry 
Grant).  This project's goal is to reforest the area on the west side of the City of Madison 
where a tornado had occurred in June 2004.  Through a competitive bid, the nursery 
vendor for the tree stock is McKays and trees are on hold pending approval for the

The City Engineer opened bids on Friday, February 11, 2005, for Contract No. 5770,

Presentation by City Attorney regarding landfill remediation cost recovery from insurance 
carriers.

NOTE:  The Board of Public Works may go into executive closed session when it 
considers the last item, pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(g), Wisconsin Statutes, which 
reads as follows:
 
19.85(1)(g):  Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering 
oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to 
litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved.
