I am writing to register my opposition to the application for a liquor license by Singh & Son LLC at 1937 Monroe St.

There are definitely enough opportunities to purchase alcohol in our neighborhood already, especially in the short 2 block area as both Trader Joe’s and Barriques are there.

With Edgewood College bordering the neighborhood, the Women’s Shelter across Monroe St. and plenty of UW Madison students in residence, it is not necessary to have a new liquor store on the corner.

As a concerned neighbor I thank you for your consideration.
