Approving the Olbrich Botanical Gardens Strategic Plan

The Olbrich Botanical Society selected a consultant, specializing in strategic plans for botanic gardens to lead efforts with a team of staff and various stakeholders to develop the Olbrich Botanical Gardens Strategic Plan. The strategic plan process began in the summer of 2022 and consisted of numerous stakeholder meetings, planning, and community input opportunities. The strategic plan is a living document that will guide the daily operations for staff at Olbrich Gardens. The new plan introduces a new mission statement and guiding principles. Priorities for the Gardens are set with 4 transformative goals and specific objectives for each goal. The plan outlines the work for 2023-2025.
On April 21, 2023, the Olbrich Botanical Society Board of Directors voted to unanimously approve the plan. Staff will provide an overview of the adopted Strategic Plan for the Board of Park Commissioners review and approval.
