Public Health Madison and Dane County (Public Health) has worked with Maxim Healthcare Staffing Services, Inc. since 2020 in support of COVID-19 emergency response efforts through supplementing staffing levels in the areas of contact tracing, testing, and vaccination. Contracted staff numbered over 150 people at various points in the pandemic.
For the staff supporting contact tracing, a Public Health owned laptop was issued to allow those staff to be able to perform the necessary work duties. There were 19 laptops that were either damaged or not returned as contracted staff exited from their roles. Maxim is issuing $19,300 to Public Health to reimburse the department for this equipment. These fund will be utilized to purchase computer hardware to support current and future Public Health staff.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to accept funding in the amount of $19,300 and amend the Operating Budget accordingly.
