Amending the adopted 2023 Parks Division Capital budget to allow acceptance of two Focus on Energy incentive checks into the Parks Facility Improvement Major totaling $18,660.94.
Body
WHEREAS, Focus on Energy is an energy efficiency and renewable resource program funded by the state’s investor-owned energy utilities, under Wis. Stat. § 196.374(2)(a), and participating municipal and electric cooperative utilities. The program works with eligible Wisconsin residents, businesses, and local governments to install cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. The program is currently administered by APTIM (“Program Administrator”) under contract with Statewide Energy Efficiency and Renewable Administration, Inc. (“SEERA”) although the program administrator can change from time to time; and,
WHEREAS the City and Focus on Energy have entered into Incentive Agreements for various installations completed in 2022 that improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs; AND,
WHEREAS the total incentive amount offered by Focus on Energy is not a guarantee of specific incentive amounts; AND,
WHEREAS resolution 61377 authorizes the construction for the existing building in Olin Park located at 330 E. Lakeside Street; AND,
WHEREAS resolution 63918 authorizes additional funding for the Olin Park Building renovation; AND,
WHEREAS the renovation included installing equipment such as lighting, boilers, cooling equipment, energy recovery ventilation and Solar PV that exceeds code minimum efficiency; AND,
WHEREAS the City received and accepts Focus on Energy Incentives for energy efficient renovation of the Olin Building at 330 E. Lakeside Street for $18,660.94; AND,
