Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution authorizes Arts & Literature Laboratory Inc. as the fiscal agent for Madison Jazz Inc. for their 2022-2023 Art Grant project. Funding of $3,000 for this project was previously approved by adopted RES-22-00397 (File ID 71148) on May 24, 2022. No additional City appropriation is required.

Body
WHEREAS the Common Council approved the 2022-2023 Art Grant Program awards on May 24, 2022 (Resolution No. 71148, RES-22-00397), and in that resolution authorized a grant to Madison Jazz Inc. for their Madison Jazz Festival 2022 Project; and
WHEREAS, since that time, Madison Jazz Inc. has indicated they need to use a fiscal agent and would like to utilize Arts & Literature Laboratory Inc. as the fiscal agent for their $3,000.00 grant award with Madison Jazz Inc. completing project work in adherence to the Conditions/Comments of the adopted recommendations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby approves Arts & Literature Laboratory Inc. to be the fiscal agent for Madison Jazz Inc.’s project as follows: "Arts & Literature Laboratory Inc. fiscal agent for Madison Jazz Inc.” and authorizes the Planning Division Director to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Madison to effectuate said grant upon countersignature of the Finance Director and approval of the City Attorney.
