Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes accepting continued grant funding from the WI Department of Health Services (WI DHS) to support the ongoing implementation of COVID-19 response activities as well as essential PHMDC programming. Specifically, PHMDC proposes accepting the following continued grant funding:
· $62,174 via DPH Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) COVID19 Grant under CARS profile 155801
o Funding is intended to support activities in the following areas: Incident Management for Early Crisis Response, Jurisdictional Recovery, Information Management, Countermeasures and Mitigation, Surge Management, and Biosurveillance
o The funding period is 4/1/2021- 3/31/2022
· $28,283 via WIC Peer Counseling Grant under CARS profile 154760
o Funding provides peer counselor training and hiring to help support breastfeeding parents and their children
o The funding period is 1/1/2021 - 12/31/2021
· $10,159 via WIC Farmer’s Market Grant under CARS profile 154720
o Funding supports programming that provides fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to WIC participants and seeks to expand the awareness, use of, and sales at farmers' markets
o The funding period is 1/1/2021 -12/31/2021
· $695, 500 via Immunization and Vaccines for Children: Vaccination Supplement #4
o support logistics, staffing, communications, outreach, site-specific needs and supplies
o The funding period is 7/1/2020 -6/30/2024
· $561,200 via Cooperative Agreement for Emergency Response: Public Health Crisis Response -Public Health Workforce
