Authorizing acceptance and appropriation of funding of $20,000 for health and wellness programs from UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
Body
WHEREAS, the University of Wisconsin School and Medicine and Public Health wishes to partner with Madison Public Library to create and manage health and wellness programs; and,
WHEREAS, the primary goal is to offer a series of virtual "book talks" events focusing on health and wellness issues affecting these underserved communities in Wisconsin: African-American, Latinx, LGBTQ+ and rural communities; and,
WHEREAS, Madison Public Library staff will take the lead on creating and marketing these programs.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2021 Madison Public Library Operating Budget is amended to appropriate $20,000; and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that Madison Public Library is authorized to create the necessary 2021 Operating Budget amendment to add the appropriation of partnership funds.
