BOH Resolution #2020 - 28 Authorization of a Budget Transfer within the Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting Grant

Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) is the grantee for the Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Family Foundations Grant and has been a recipient of this grant since 2015. It is a federal grant and administered in Wisconsin through the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF). The 2019-20 award the PHMDC received was $337,961.
This funding supports two Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) Public Health Nurse home visitors, a Maternal Child Health Navigator, NFP program fees, supplies and equipment, Mental Health Consultation and staff training.
PHMDC proposes a transfer of funding from Purchased Services to Personnel expenses. WI DCF granted PHMDC authorization to transfer funds between budget areas within this grant.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the transfer of the amounts of the 2019-20 MIECHV- Family Foundations Grant through the Wisconsin Department of Children and Family Services as outlined for the purpose of providing home visiting services to families in need in Dane County.
