Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes accepting funding from Dane County for isolation/quarantine support. Specifically, PHMDC proposes accepting $301,840.00 to purchase gift cards to support individuals who are likely to experience a financial hardship as a result of their isolation/quarantine. Under the terms of the merger agreement, the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County may authorize PHMDC to accept and spend grant funds (IGA, VII, F, 1-3).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison Dane County, on behalf of Public Health-Madison and Dane County, authorizes the Director of Public Health to accept $301,840.00 to support individuals who are financially burdened by their isolation/quarantine.
