Request from Friends of Lake Wingra and the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District to place temporary art installation at Vilas Park and Wingra Park

The Friends of Lake Wingra recently received a Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District Chloride Innovation Grant, as such, they are employing a local artist to paint a mural of a lake ecosystem onto a water softener. They propose installing the softener and an informational sign (about the sources of chloride, current chloride levels, and its impacts to freshwater ecosystems) at Wingra and Vilas Park over this coming fall and winter.
